Scandi-Style Open Sandwiches

  1. Mix the low-fat cream cheese with the creamed horseradish and season; with salt (be careful the lox may be very salty), pepper & some of the chives.
  2. Spread 2 slices of rye bread or pumpernickel with the cheese then add slices of avocado and some smoked salmon or gravadlax.
  3. Sprinkle with remaining chives and pack a lemon wedge to squeeze over.
