Jean'S Bridal Beans
- 1 green pepper, finely chopped
- 1 medium onion
- 4 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 c. drained tomatoes
- 2 c. drained cut green beans
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 c. mayonnaise
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- dash of cayenne
- 1 small can sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 c. buttered bread crumbs
- Cook bacon; drain.
- Cook pepper and onion in bacon drippings. Add drained tomatoes.
- Chop and mix well.
- Simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add beans, mayonnaise and seasonings.
- Blend thoroughly but do not cook.
- Add mushrooms.
- Place in greased casserole and cover with bread crumbs.
- Dot with butter.
- Bake, uncovered, at 350u0b0 for 20 minutes.
