Cappuccino Fudge Cake

  1. Spread almondstn single layer on baking sheet.
  2. Place in cold oven;take

  5. 9to 11 minutes, stirring occasionally until golden brown.
  6. Cool;
  7. leave
  8. oven
  9. at 350u0b0. Cream shortening with sugar, eggs, vanilla and almond extracts until fluffy.
  10. Combine flour
  11. withtocoa powder, coffee crystals, baking soda, baking
  12. powder
  13. and salt;
  14. mix well.
  15. Blend dry ingredients into
  16. creamed
  17. mixturetlternately with milk. Stir int/2 cup
  18. toasted
  19. almonds.
  20. Pour
  21. intotreased
  22. and floured 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking
  23. pan.take 40 to 45 minutes or until pick inserted in centertomes
  24. out clean.
  25. Cool on wire rack.
  26. Frost with Cappuccino
  27. Fudge
  28. Icing
  29. andtprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup toasted almonds.
  30. Makes 16 servings.
