Chocolate Drop Cookie Recipe

• 1/2 c. shortening
• 2 (1 ounce.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
• 1 c. brown sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1/2 c. buttermilk
• 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• Nuts

1. Mix shortening and unsweetened chocolate over low heat.
2. Cold 10 min.
3. Add in remaining ingredients.
4. Drop from tsp.
5. onto greased cookie sheet.
6. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 min.
7. Remove and frost.
8. Makes 3 1/2 dozen cookies.
