Dreamsicle Cookies.. white chocolate orange
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 tsp orange extract
- 2 tbsp sour cream
- 6 drops red liquid food color
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup bread flour
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 15 drops yellow liquid food color
- Preheat oven to 325F
- In a medium bowl, cream together butter and both sugars.
- Beat in both extracts, egg, sour cream and both food colorings.
- ( food coloring is optional, it just gives it the orange look)
- Stir in flour, cornstarch and baking soda until well combined.
- Fold in white chocolate chips.
- Drop by the heaping tbl.
- Onto a greased or parchment lined cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
- Bake 8-10 minutes or until bottoms are golden.
- Let stand a few minutes then transfer to wire rack for cooling.
- Serve and enjoy!
- Makes about 2 dozen large cookies.
- To make an alchoholic version, sub all the extracts for orange vodka.
