Unconventional TWIX Treats
- 1 cup Butter
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 Eggs
- 1/4 cup Milk
- 3 1/2 cup AP Flour
- 2 packages Caramels
- 1 1/2 packages Chocolate, your choice milk, semi, dark, etc...
- Pre-Heat oven 350
- cream together butter and sugar.
- add vanilla and mix.
- add beaten eggs and milk and mix through.
- add flour slowly til completely mixed.
- Add one teaspoon to bottom of mini cupcake tin and press to the bottom.
- Bake for 8 minutes.
- While cookie is baking, unwrap caramels.
- Remove cookie from oven and place one caramel in center of cookie.
- place back in oven for 7 minutes.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on tops of caramel.
- When chocolate melts, smooth over top.
- Options: Add chopped pecans/nuts to cookie batter or place pecan half to top of cookie before placing caramel on top.
- Or shredded coconut before adding the caramel.
- You can substitute almond extract for the vanilla.
- Instead of caramel, cool cookie, spread peanut butter on and dip in melted chocolate.
- *You can also spread cookie batter into a cake pan and bake for 20-25 mins.
- add caramels, cool, cut in bars and dip into melted chocolate for a more authentic "TWIX"
