Salt Crystals Recipe

• 4 tbsp. bluing
• 4 tbsp. water
• Piece of coal, brick, sponge or possibly broken clay pot, dampened
• Drops of any food coloring
• 4 tbsp. ammonia
• Salt

1. Place dampened coal (or possibly any of the above pcs) in an old bowl, pouring liquids over coal.
2. Sprinkle with salt to cover generously.
3. Put a few drops of food coloring here and there on top of salt.
4. This was a 2nd grade school class project.
5. Mr. Abercrombie gave us the pcs of coal.
