Slow-Cooker Sausage Stew
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1 lb. (450 g) Italian sausage links
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 fl oz/798 mL) no-salt-added diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1/4 cup Kraft Extra Virgin Olive Oil Tuscan Italian Dressing
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1 yellow pepper, cut into bite-size pieces
- 1 zucchini, sliced
- Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat.
- Add sausage; cook 5 min.
- or until evenly browned, turning occasionally.
- Transfer sausage to slow cooker sprayed with cooking spray, reserving drippings in skillet.
- Add onions to reserved drippings; cook and stir on medium heat 5 min.
- or until softened, adding garlic for the last minute.
- Stir in tomatoes, dressing and seasoning; bring to boil.
- Pour into slow cooker; cover with lid.
- Cook on LOW 6 to 7 hours (or on HIGH 3-1/2 to 4 hours), adding peppers and zucchini for the last hour.
- Remove sausage from slow cooker; cut into slices.
- Return to slow cooker; mix well.
