Broccoli Salad
- 1 bunch broccoli, chopped
- 1 head cauliflower, chopped
- 1 medium-sized onion, chopped
- 1/2 to 3/4 c. bacon bits
- 1 pkg. grated cheese
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar or lemon juice
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 1 1/2 c. mayonnaise or salad dressing
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 5 c. broccoli flowerets
- 1/2 c. pecans, toasted
- 1/2 c. white raisins
- 1/2 c. chopped red onion
- 12 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
- In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar and lemon juice.
- Mix well.
- Cover and chill at least 2 hours.
- Place broccoli flowerets in a large bowl.
- Add raisins, pecans, onion and bacon.ttir to mix.
- Add mayonnaise mixture; toss lightly to coat.
- Serve immediately or cover and chill until serving time. Makes 6 side dish servings.
