Asparagus With Gruyere

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Cut or break off tough ends of asparagus.
  3. Wash asparagus in cool running water, and drain well.
  4. Arrange asparagus in single layer in ungreased 11x7-inch baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle with salt.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350F for 25 minutes or until asparagus is tender.
  7. Drizzle melted butter over asparagus; sprinkle cheese on top.
  8. Return baking dish to oven for another 5 to 8 minutes, or until the cheese softens.
