Asparagus With Gruyere
- 1 12 lbs asparagus
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 14 cup butter, melted
- 12 cup grated gruyere cheese
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Cut or break off tough ends of asparagus.
- Wash asparagus in cool running water, and drain well.
- Arrange asparagus in single layer in ungreased 11x7-inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle with salt.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350F for 25 minutes or until asparagus is tender.
- Drizzle melted butter over asparagus; sprinkle cheese on top.
- Return baking dish to oven for another 5 to 8 minutes, or until the cheese softens.
