Frosted Cranberry Squares

  1. Drain pineapple, reserving syrup.
  2. Add water to syrup to make 1 cup.
  3. Heat to boiling.
  4. Dissolve jello in this; cool.
  5. Gently stir in ginger ale.
  6. Chill until partially set.
  7. Blend pineapple and cranberry sauce and fold in.
  8. Turn into 9 x 9 x 2-inch dish. Chill until firm.
  9. Prepare dessert topping according to directions.
  10. Fold in cream cheese.
  11. Spread over jello.
  12. Put pecans in 1 tablespoon butter in moderate oven at 350u0b0 for 10 minutes. Sprinkle over top of jello.
  13. Makes 9 servings.
