Mimi's Ice Cream Recipe
- 4 c. sugar
- 5-6 Large eggs
- 1 lg. can lowfat milk (evaporated)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 tbsp. vanilla
- 1 gallon lowfat milk
- Crushed ice
- Ice cream salt
- Beat Large eggs in large bowl till lemon colored.
- Add in sugar, salt and evaporated lowfat milk and continue to beat as you add in vanilla; beat well.
- Then add in part of lowfat milk.
- Pour into a chilled gallon ice cream freezer bucket.
- Add in dasher to inside of bucket.
- If more lowfat milk is needed, pour till mix is about 2" from top.
- Stir with long handle spoon.
- Place in freezer bucket.
- Layer ice and salt.
- Freeze till hard.
- Remove dasher and repack.
