Sour Cream Posy Rolls

  1. In a large bowl, combine 2 cups flour, sugar, undissolved yeast and salt.
  2. Heat sour cream, water and butter until very warm (120u0b0 to 130u0b0). Stir in 1 egg and enough remaining flour to make soft dough.
  3. Knead lightly to make soft dough.
  4. Knead on lightly floured board until smooth and elastic, 4 to 6 minutes.
  5. Divide dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll into smooth ball.
  6. Place on greased baking sheet. Fill a shallow pan 1/2 full with boiling water.
  7. Place baking sheet on pan to rise 20 minutes.
  8. Make 6 (3/4-inch) snips around edge.
  9. Beat remaining egg. Brush on rolls. Sprinkle with seed. Bake at 400u0b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
  10. Cool on rack.
  11. Yields 1 dozen.
