Miso Marinated Beef Tataki (Seared Beef)

  1. Rub a modest amount of salt and pepper into the beef.
  2. Heat sesame oil in a pan and grill both sides of the beef over high heat.
  3. Transfer onto a dish when it's browned.
  4. Mix together all condiments.
  5. Brush it thoroughly onto the meat.
  6. When the meat is cooled down slightly, put into a plastic bag and chill in the fridge for 1/2 to 1 day.
  7. Pat dry any excess miso from Step 2.
  8. Slice into desired sizes and serve.
