Miso Marinated Beef Tataki (Seared Beef)
- 250 to 300 grams Beef thigh (block)
- 1 Salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp Sesame oil
- 3 tbsp Miso
- 1 tbsp Mirin
- 1 tbsp Sake
- Rub a modest amount of salt and pepper into the beef.
- Heat sesame oil in a pan and grill both sides of the beef over high heat.
- Transfer onto a dish when it's browned.
- Mix together all condiments.
- Brush it thoroughly onto the meat.
- When the meat is cooled down slightly, put into a plastic bag and chill in the fridge for 1/2 to 1 day.
- Pat dry any excess miso from Step 2.
- Slice into desired sizes and serve.
