Oven Roasted Turkey

  1. Mix spice rub in a bowl.
  2. Sprinkle spice rub into cavity of turkey.
  3. Loosen skin from meat and rub spic mixture under the skin.
  4. Rub remaining mixture onto turkeys skin.
  5. Melt butter for injector sauce in a saucepan and add dressing.
  6. You can grate a clove of garlic in and put some dill or fresh parsley, if doing so remember to strain the sauce as it cannot be injected.
  7. Inject the sauce into the turkey and refrigerate overnight or upto24 hours.
  8. Preheat oven to 325 F. Set rack at lowest position.
  9. Place turkey in roasting pan and drizzle with olive oil.
  10. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  11. Stuff the turkey with the stuffing ingredients.
  12. I did not eat these instead used them for flavor.
  13. Roast the turkey for about 4-5 hours.
  14. Baste every 30-45 minutes.
  15. Internal temperature should be 165F in the thickest part of thigh.
  16. Let rest for 30 minutes, cover with foil.
