Chicken Shrimp Curry Recipe
- 2 c. minced onions
- 1/4 c. veg. oil
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 teaspoon grnd coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon grnd ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon whole cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 1 chicken, cut up
- 1/2 c. plain yogurt
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 2 c. water
- 1 pound shrimp, shelled & deveined
- Saute/fry onions in oil till transparent but not brown.
- Add in 1/2 c. water and all spices.
- Stir and cook for 5 min.
- Add in chicken, yogurt and more salt to taste.
- Cook 5 min longer then add in 2 c. water.
- Cover and simmer about 1 hour.
- Add in shrimp, cover and simmer 5 min more.
- Remove from heat.
- Serve over rice if you like.
- Add in cornstarch paste to stock for thicker gravy.
