Oriental Casserole
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2 c. diced celery
- 1 c. uncooked long grain rice
- 1 can (10 1/2 oz.) mushroom soup
- 1 can (10 1/2 oz.) cream of chicken soup
- 2 c. water
- 1/4 c. soy sauce
- 1 can bean sprouts, drained and well washed
- 1 can water chestnuts, sliced and drained
- Brown ground beef in skillet.
- In a mixing bowl, blend soups, soy sauce and water.
- Place celery, onion, bean sprouts and chestnuts in bottom of buttered 9 x 13-inch casserole.
- Pour the blended soup mixture over vegetables.
- Spread browned meat over top.
- Sprinkle rice over meat.
- Bake 2 hours and 15 minutes in 325u0b0 oven with lid on casserole or pan.
- Stir with fork once or twice last 15 minutes of baking.
