Italian Sausage And Broccoli Pasta
- 1 bunch broccoli
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 lb. Italian sausage or 1/2 lb. hot
- 1 small onion
- 4 large cloves garlic, minced
- 2 red bell peppers (green okay) in 1/4-inch slices
- 2 oz. sunflower seeds or pine nuts
- 2 tsp. fennel seed
- 2 Tbsp. dry vermouth or wine or water
- 8 oz. fettucine or egg noodles
- fresh Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 c. seeded raisins
- 1/4 c. apricots (dried)
- 2 lb. minced or ground beef
- bread (1-inch thick slice)
- 2 c. milk
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 large onion, grated
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. mild curry powder
- 2 eggs
- 2 to 3 bay leaves
- Serve with rice (mixed with turmeric to give it a rich yellow color), shredded coconut, sliced banana and chutney.
- These are usually placed in separate dishes and passed around to be sprinkled on top of the bobotie.
