Everybody Loves Hamburger Stroganoff!
- 1 (8 ounce) package medium noodles
- 14 cup butter
- 12 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 garlic clove, chopped fine
- 12 lb mixed mushrooms, thickly sliced
- 1 lb ground chuck
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 14 cup Burgundy wine
- 1 (8 ounce) can beef bouillon
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup sour cream
- 12 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- Cook noodles according to package directions and drain.
- In hot butter in large skillet, saute onion, garlic and mushrooms until onion is golden, about 5 minutes.
- Add beef, stirring, until it is browned.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in flour, tomato sauce, burgundy, bouillon, salt and pepper.
- Simmer 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Blend in sour cream.
- In lightly greased 2 quart casserole, layer a third of the noodles, then a third of the meat mixture.
- Repeat twice.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake at 375 degrees uncovered 25 minutes.
