Cherry Sangria
- 1 1/2 tbsp packed brown sugar
- 1 packages (12 ounces) frozen sweet cherries (divided)
- 1/2 cup kirschwasser
- 1 bottle (750 milliliters) Pinot Nior, chilled
- 1 packages (6 ounces) blackberries
- 1 orange, halved and thinly sliced
- 1 ice cubes
- 1 fresh basil leaves
- 3 cup Cherry 7Up, chilled
- Place half the cherries, the brown sugar and kirschwasser in a large pitcher.
- Stir and toss until sugar is dissolved.
- Stir in wine, blackberries and orange.
- Chill for at least 2 hours.
- Just before you serve it, stir in Cherry 7Up and remaining cherries.
- Serve over ice.
- Gently bruise the basil leaves with your fingers to release aroma.
- Add basil to glasses.
