Seafood File Gumbo Recipe

  1. In a 4 qt casserole dish make a roux with flour and oil (15 min).
  2. Saute/fry onions and celery on high for 3 min then add in green onions, parsley and garlic and saute/fry 3 min.
  3. Stir in water and seasonings.
  4. Cover and cook on high 15 min.
  5. Add in shrimp and crabs; reduce to medium; cook 25 min.
  6. Add in oysters and juice; cook 10 min or possibly till oysters curl.
  7. Sprinkle with file and set aside till ready to serve.
  8. Reheat gently.
