Alaskan Moose Roast

  1. Braise moose roast in shortening/bacon grease on both sides until golden brown.
  2. Put braised roast in roasting pan.
  3. Surround with vegetables and cover with aluminum foil.
  4. Bake at 350u0b0 for 2 hours.
  5. Reserve drippings; add desired amount of water to make gravy.
  6. Bring to boil and thicken with cornstarch paste.
  7. Serves 6 to 8.
