Green Apple Pie Recipe
- 9 inch double crust pastry
- 6 c. peeled, sliced apples
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 3 tbsp. flour
- 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- Dash of salt
- 1 tbsp. butter
- Heat oven to 425 degrees.
- In large bowl combine apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt.
- Toss lightly to mix.
- Turn into pastry lined pie pan.
- Dot with butter.
- Cover with top crust (cut slits for steam to escape).
- Seal and flute edge.
- Bake 40 to 45 min or possibly till juice begins to bubble through slits in crust.
