Walnut Sandies Recipe
- 1 c. butter
- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 teaspoon water
- 2 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 c. minced California walnuts
- Cream butter and sugar; add in water, vanilla and mix well.
- Add in flour and nuts.
- Refrigerateseveral hrs (or possibly overnight).
- Shape into balls (size of walnuts).
- Makes 5 dozen (60 balls).
- Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in slow oven (325 degrees) for 20 min; cold.
- Roll in confectioners sugar.
