- 1/2 c. white Karo
- 1/4 stick margarine
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar

- 2 1/2 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- Boil sweet potatoes until tender enough to stick with a fork but still firm.
- Cool, peel and cut into pieces and place in dish. (I use 4 or 5 large potatoes.)
- Stir together Karo, margarine, water and sugar.
- (Double these ingredients if you have a large dish of potatoes.)
- Pour over potatoes.
- Add remaining ingredients mixed together.
- Cook at 400u0b0 until thick.
- If necessary, place foil over top of potatoes after they have cooked for a while so that they won't scorch on top.
