Layered Casserole(Ultra Low-Fat)
- 1 lb. ground turkey
- 3/4 c. onion, chopped
- 1/2 green pepper, chopped
- 1 c. 1% cottage cheese
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 3 Tbsp. lite sour cream
- 6 Tbsp. lite cream cheese
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. fat free cheese
- 3 c. cooked pasta, drained
- black pepper to taste
- Brown meat and onion in large skillet sprayed with nonstick cooking spray.
- Add tomato sauce and seasonings.
- Simmer 7 to 8 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine green pepper, cottage cheese, cream cheese and sour cream; mix thoroughly.
- Spray large casserole dish (9 x 13-inch) with nonstick spray.
- Cover bottom with pasta.
- Add a layer of meat mixture.
- Pour cottage cheese mixture for next layer and top with shredded fat free cheese. Bake uncovered at 350u0b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
- Makes 8 servings. Contains 202 calories and 2 grams of fat per serving.
