Spicy Indian Pomfret Bhurji
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 12 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
- 5 green chilies, washed,ends trimmed and finely chopped
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 1 cup grated coconut
- 12 cup finely chopped fresh coriander leaves
- 14 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 lime, juice of
- salt
- 1 butterfish, washed,sliced and marinated in
- 12 tablespoon white vinegar, and
- 12 teaspoon salt
- Heat oil in a skillet on medium flame.
- Stir in the minced garlic and fry until lightly browned.
- Mix in the green chillies and onions.
- Saute until the onions are browned and aromatic.
- Now add the coconut, corriander leaves, salt, turmeric powder and lemon juice.
- Cook on low flame{simmer} for 12 minutes.
- Now, fold in the fish slices.
- Mix carefully and cook, stirring occasionally, until the fish is tender when touched with a fork and ready to eat.
- Serve hot with rotis or white bread.
- Enjoy!
