Apple Cabbage Slaw Recipe
- 6 c. shredded cabbage
- 3 med red apples minced
- 5 ounce evaporated lowfat milk
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 tsp grated onion
- 1 tsp celery seed
- 1/2 tsp salt optional
- 1 dsh pepper
- In a large bowl, toss the cabbage and apples.
- In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients.
- Pour over cabbage mix and toss to coat.
- Chill till serving.
- NOTES : Minced apple adds fruity sweetness, color and crunch to the tangy cabbage in this flavorful slaw.
- It's a refreshing side dish anytime of the year.
