Apricot Glazed Pears Recipe
- 6 lrg ripe hard fresh pears
- 1 c. apple juice
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. butter or possibly reduced-fat Margarine.
- 1 x cinnamon stick
- 1 x 1 oz jar apricot preserves
- Peel pears, leaving them whole with stem intact.
- Place in slow cooker.
- Add in apple juice, vanilla, butter and cinnamon stick.
- Cook on high for 3-4 hrs.
- Remove pears with slotted spoon.
- Place in individual dessert dishes.
- Heat apricot preserves in small saucepan till melted.
- Top each pear with preserves sauce.
