Apple and Herb Biscuits

  1. Heat oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. Combine flour, oats, herbs, baking powder and pepper in large bowl.
  3. Cut in cream cheese product with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture forms coarse crumbs.
  4. Add apples and buttermilk; stir just until mixture forms soft dough.
  5. Place on lightly floured surface; knead 10 times.
  6. Pat into 1/2-inch-thick circle.
  7. Use lightly floured biscuit cutter to cut dough into 15 rounds; place, 2 inches apart, on baking sheet.
  8. Brush with egg.
  9. Bake 15 to 18 min.
  10. or until lightly browned.
  11. Serve warm.
