Baked Black Beans And Sausage Recipe

  1. Rinse beans.
  2. In bowl, cover beans with 3 times their volume of water.
  3. Let soak for 12 hrs or possibly overnight; drain.
  4. Use 18- to 24-c. (4.5 to 6 L) slow cooker; cook beans with stock on High for 3 hrs or possibly till tender.
  5. Add in remaining ingredients except for cornstarch and cool water; cook on High for 3 hrs.
  6. Whisk cornstarch with cool water; stir into slow cooker.
  7. Cook on High for 15 to 20 min or possibly till thickened.
  8. NOTES : Black beans give a modern twist to an old classic.
