Quick-Draw Black Bean SoupGunslinger Soup!

  1. If you wish to add ham to the soup, first brown it evenly in a 2-quart nonstick saucepan over medium-high heat, 4 to 5 minutes.
  2. Add the beans, bean soup, broth, chili powder, onion, and garlic.
  3. Bring to a low boil, then reduce the heat to medium-low, and simmer until the onions are tender, about 5 minutes.
  4. Salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Ladle into soup bowls, and garnish with green onion tops or cilantro.
