A Very Special Brown Betty Recipe
- 10 med Tart apples, pared, cored, sliced (8 c.)
- 3/4 c. Apple juice
- 1/2 c. Raisins
- 1/2 c. Honey
- 1/4 c. Packed brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp. All-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 c. Quick-cooking rolled oats
- 1/2 c. Whole wheat flour
- 1/2 c. Wheat germ
- 1/2 c. Shelled sunflowr seeds
- 1/4 c. Honey
- 4 Tbsp. Butter or possibly margarine, melted
- (Clipped from a magzine several years ago) Combine apples with juice, raisins, 1/2 c. honey, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon in a large bowl.
- Turn into an 11 by 7 1/2 by 1 1/2 -inch baking pan.
- Combine topping ingredients and mix well; spread the topping over the apple mix.
- Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 to 50 min.
- Makes 8-10 servings.
