sweet rice
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 2 cup water
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp ghee
- 1 tbsp raisins
- 1 tbsp blanched almonds
- 2 small cardamoms
- 1 pinch of saffron
- 1 pinch of edible yellow food colour
- clean and wash rice.soak for 15-20 mins.
- in a microwave safe bowl,add soaked rice,2 cups of water,sugar,ghee,cardamom and edible yellow colour.microwave covered at 100% power for 10-11 min.stir in between.
- Add saffron,almonds and raisins.microwave covered at 60% power for 9-10 min.stir in between.
- Allow to stand for another 5 mints and Garnish with fresh fruits and dry fruits of your choice.serve hot.
