Salted boiled peanuts
- 1/2 lb raw green peanuts
- 2 tbsp salt
- 1 boiling water
- 1 tsp seasoned salt
- 1 bay leaf
- In a pot add bay leaf, and peanuts shell and all.
- Cover with salty, boiling water bring back to a boil then simmer.
- Add water as needed.
- Simmer at least 4 hours, adding water as needed.
- after 2 hours taste water.
- It needs to taste salty.
- Adjustments need to be made.
- Stir occasionally.
- I boiled mine for 9 hours.
- When you think they are done taste test one.
- They should not be crunchy, nor sould they be like mush.
- Serve hope you enjoy!
- These can be done in big batches and then freeze.
- To reheat use a microwave or crockpot!
