Woodland Casserole
- 6 ounces chestnuts, precooked
- 2 leeks, cut in rings
- 1 garlic clove, chopped
- 2 scallions, chopped
- 6 ounces mushrooms (fresh or dried or soaked)
- salt or vegit seasoning
- bechamel sauce (your own or from a mix)
- Chop chestnuts into fairly large, coarse pieces.
- Fry leeks in a little oil, add garlic.
- Add chestnuts and salt (better yet, Vegit)
- Place vegetables in a casserole dish.
- Prepare Bechamel sauce and pour over the veggies.
- Bake uncovered at 400 for 30 minutes.
