Shortbread Turtles

• 1 cup caramel bits*
• 2 tablespoons Land O Lakes Butter
• 2 tablespoons Land O Lakes Half & Half or Fat Free Half & Half
• 30 (1 1/2-inch square) purchased shortbread cookies
• 30 pecan halves
• 4 ounces chocolate-flavored candy coating (almond bark)

1. Combine all caramel ingredients in bowl; microwave, stirring every 30 seconds, 1-2 minutes or until melted and smooth.
2. Place cookies onto waxed paper.
3. Place 1 teaspoon caramel mixture in center of each cookie.
4. Immediately press 1 pecan half into caramel.
5. Melt candy coating according to microwave package directions.
6. Drizzle 1 teaspoon melted chocolate over pecan.
7. Let stand until drizzle is set.
8. *Substitute 25 unwrapped caramels.
