Herman Chocolate Cookies Recipe

• 2 c. brown sugar
• 4 Large eggs
• 2 teaspoon vanilla
• 4 tbsp. cocoa
• 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
• 1 c. shortening
• 1 c. "Herman" starter
• 3 c. flour
• 1 teaspoon soda
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• Minced nuts are optional

1. Combine all ingredients in usual manner till well blended.
2. Drop by tsp.
3. onto greased cookie sheet.
4. Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 min.
5. Note: You may frost with chocolate icing.
