Oven Beef Stew
- 2 lb. stew meat
- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 3 c. water
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1/3 c. cornstarch
- 2 bay leaves
- 16 oz. can tomatoes
- 2 c. potatoes
- 2 c. carrots, sliced
- 1 c. celery, chopped
- 16 oz. green beans
- 16 oz. can peas
- 16 oz. kernel corn
- Heat oven to 325u0b0.
- Brown meat in oil.
- Add cornstarch and spices.
- Mix well.
- Stir in tomatoes and water.
- Bring mixture to boil, stirring frequently.
- Place meat mixture and add remaining ingredients in foil pan.
- Cover and bake for 2 hours or until meat is tender.
- Stir twice during baking.
