Shaker Sugar Pie

  1. Prick pie shell and bake at 450 F 5 minutes.
  2. Set aside.
  3. Reduce oven temperature to 350F (180C).
  4. Mix the brown sugar with flour until blended.
  5. Spoon over bottom of partially baked pie shell.
  6. Combine the cream, extract, and nutmeg; pour over sugar in pie shell.
  7. Dot with the butter.
  8. Bake at 350F (180C) about 55 minutes, or until crust is lightly browned and filling is set.
