Marinated String Beans
- 1 lb. fresh string beans
- 1 gal. water
- 1 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp. sugar,
- to taste
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp. honey mustard
- 1 clove fresh garlic
- 2 cups olive oil
- Snap and wash string beans.
- Bring salted water to boil in a large pot.
- While waiting for the water to boil make the dressing.
- Put balsamic vinegar in a medium mixing bowl, add honey mustard, olive oil, sugar, salt and pepper, and crushed or grated garlic.
- Whisk together until thoroughly blended.
- When water boils add string beans and cook for approximatly 15 to 20 minutes.
- Drain and put beans in dressing let sit for a few hours or overnight.
- Serve cold.
