Tarako (Salted Cod Roe) Pasta Cooked in Just One Frying Pan
- 100 grams Spaghetti
- 400 ml Water
- 1/2 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1/2 piece Raw tarako
- 50 ml Greek yogurt (or unsweetened yogurt)
- 1 dash Lemon juice
- 1 tsp Dashi stock granules
- 1 Shredded nori seaweed
- Add the ingredients to the frying pan and bring to a boil.
- Break the spaghetti in half and add to the pan.
- Cook for 1 minute over medium heat, stirring to prevent sticking.
- Turn off the heat and cover with a lid.
- Let the spaghetti sit for 1 minute less than the cooking time listed on the package.
- Remove the lid and stir.
- Then heat over high to reduce the liquid.
- (This takes about 3 minutes for 1.6 mm spaghetti)
- Turn off the heat and add the ingredients to the pasta.
- Remove the membrame of the tarako and break it up as you stir it into the pasta.
- You can add mayonnaise, soy sauce, shiso leaves or anything else you like.
- Transfer the pasta to a dish and top with shredded nori seaweed.
- Done!
