Tarako (Salted Cod Roe) Pasta Cooked in Just One Frying Pan

  1. Add the ingredients to the frying pan and bring to a boil.
  2. Break the spaghetti in half and add to the pan.
  3. Cook for 1 minute over medium heat, stirring to prevent sticking.
  4. Turn off the heat and cover with a lid.
  5. Let the spaghetti sit for 1 minute less than the cooking time listed on the package.
  6. Remove the lid and stir.
  7. Then heat over high to reduce the liquid.
  8. (This takes about 3 minutes for 1.6 mm spaghetti)
  9. Turn off the heat and add the ingredients to the pasta.
  10. Remove the membrame of the tarako and break it up as you stir it into the pasta.
  11. You can add mayonnaise, soy sauce, shiso leaves or anything else you like.
  12. Transfer the pasta to a dish and top with shredded nori seaweed.
  13. Done!
