English Cherubs

  1. Combine 1/2 cup brown sugar, butter, flour and dash of salt in a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Mix until well combined (mixture will look dry).
  3. Press in bottom of a greased 9-inch square pan.
  4. Beat eggs until foamy.
  5. Add remaining brown sugar, 1/2 cup sugar, vanilla and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
  6. Mix well.
  7. Stir in coconut and pecans. Spread over layer in pan.
  8. Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes or until top is set and lightly browned.
  9. Cool; cut into 1 1/2-inch squares.
  10. Makes 3 dozen.
