Bourbon BBQ Beef Ribs
- 1 rack Beef Back Ribs
- 2 TBSP brown sugar
- 1 TBSP Lawry's season salt
- 1 TBSP chili powder
- 1 TBSP garlic powder
- 1 TBSP onion powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 cup Ketchup
- 1/2 cup Kentucky Bourbon (or any good sipping whiskey)
- 2 TBSP molasses
- 2 TBSP apple cider vinegar
- 2 TBSP brown sugar
- 2 TBSP soy sauce
- 1 tsp yellow mustard
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp powdered ginger
- 1/4 tsp Lawry's seasoned salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs.
- Season well with BBQ rub and refrigerate 24 to 48 hours.
- Mix BBQ sauce ingredients in a saucepan and gently simmer 3 or 4 minutes.
- Let cool and refrigerate until needed (can be made days in advance).
- Set up your grill for Indirect Heat with unlit charcoal.
- Add hot charcoal and a drip pan in the middle (add water to the pan).
- Place ribs on the grill over the drip pan and cook at 325F for an hour and a half.
- After an hour and a half glaze with bbq sauce and cook for about 10 to 15 minutes
- Glaze with bbq sauce again and cook for another 10 minutes or so.
- Place for a third time and cook for about 10 more minutes.
- Remove from the grill and cool 10 to 15 minutes before carving and serving.
