Oatmeal Choco-Chip Cake
- 1 3/4 cups water boiling
- 1 cup oatmeal
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup sugar granulated
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 2 large eggs
- 1 3/4 cups flour, all-purpose
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1 package chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup walnuts chopped
- Pour boiling water over oatmeal; let stand at room temperature.
- Add sugars, margarine, and eggs; beat.
- Add flour, soda, salt, cocoa and mix thoroughly.
- Add half of chocolate chips and blend in.
- Pour into greased 9x13 inch pan.
- Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips and walnuts on top.
- Bake at 350F (180C) for 35 minutes.
