Swiss Chocolate Squares

  1. Preheat oven to 375F.
  2. Place water, 1/2 cup (1 stick) of the butter and 1-1/2 oz.
  3. of the chocolate in large saucepan.
  4. Bring to boil, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Stir in combined flour and granulated sugar.
  7. Add eggs, sour cream, baking soda and salt; mix well.
  8. Pour into greased and floured 15x10x1-inch baking pan.
  9. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  10. Place remaining 1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine, remaining 1-1/2 oz.
  11. chocolate and milk in large saucepan; bring to boil.
  12. Remove from heat.
  13. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating until well blended after each addition.
  14. Mix in vanilla.
  15. Spread onto warm cake; sprinkle with pecans.
  16. Cool completely.
  17. Cut into 48 squares to serve.
