House Lamb Shanks
- 6 lamb shanks (about 5 pounds)
- 3 tablespoons Cheater Rub de la Maison (page 47)
- 1/4 cup bottled smoke
- PLACE the shanks in a large slow cooker (at least 5 quarts) and sprinkle the meat with the dry rub.
- Add the bottled smoke.
- COVER and cook on high for 4 to 6 hours or on low for 8 to 10 hours.
- The meat should be fork-tender.
