  1. Make syrup by dissolving sugar comletely in water in a sauce pan.
  2. Bring to a boil, then add lemon juice and let it thicken a little bit.
  3. Cool comletely before use.
  4. (Make it a day ahead)
  5. Mix sugar and milk.
  6. Mix semolina, flour, baking powder, and cinnamon.
  7. Add milk mixure.
  8. Melt butter and add to the mixure.
  9. Brush the baking pan with butter and add mixure.
  10. Let rest for two hours.
  11. With a knife cut it in diamond shape, put half an almond in the center of each one.
  12. Brush the top generously with yogurt.
  13. (Helps in getting nice golden color
  14. Heat oven to 475 degrees (250 C.) F. and bake till top has golden color.
  15. Immediately pour sugar syrup over so it will absorb it.
  16. It may look that the syrup is too much but it will absorb it.
  17. Enjoy!
