Mother Makins Pumpkin Pie Recipe

• 1 small pumpkin
• 1 cup rich milk
• 1 egg
• 34 cup sugar
• 14 cup butter
• 14 teaspoon salt
• 14 teaspoon nutmeg
• 14 teaspoon clove
• 12 teaspoon cinnamon
• 12 teaspoon ginger
• 1 pie shell

1. cook and run through sieve the pumpkin
2. retain 1 cup for recipe
3. sift salt and spices with sugar.
4. melt butter.
5. add beaten egg with pumpkin and milk and butter
6. mix all together
7. pour into pie shell
8. bake bake in fairly hot oven (425) 40 minutes.
