German Chocolate Cake Brownies

  1. Mix cake mix, milk, butter and chocolate chips, and put about 1/2 of the brownie dough into a greased or sprayed, 9x13-inch baking pan.
  2. Pat it in to fit length of pan.
  3. Bake at 350F for about 7-8 minutes.
  4. Remove from oven; pour tub of icing or baked layer.
  5. Pour remaining brownie dough over icing layer.
  6. Make sure it looks somewhat even.
  7. Return to oven; continue baking for about 15 to 20 mintues longer, until set.
  8. Do not overcook.
  9. Remove from oven, cool completely (at least 1 hour or more).
